7 saum load help

Ok I need some help with my 7 Saum load.

I am running the 180 bergers at 3.100 coal thats about 20 thou in the lands. I did some research and most guys are running H1000 at about 64 or so. I tried 62.5 grains and it was really hot in my rifle. I ended up trying 60.5, pressure seemed pretty mild but accuracy not so hot.

Anyone running H1000 at or around 60 gr with any luck this seems like a really light charge from what I have read.

Also have these powders on hand RL 17, H4350, N550 any recommendations on these ?

One more quick question, Are the 180 hybrids any good, easier to load with as far as seating depth ? These Bergers are such a pain in the neck to get to shoot. I am really thinking about running the 175 SMK.

Thanks Corey

try the hybrids .020" off, I have gotten some very good reports from guys using them in f-class guns.

If your running vlds 20 in try running them between 5 off and 5 in and see if they shoot better.
Jamming 20 in will raise pressure so you wont shoot as many grains as the guy who is off the lands, basing your data off someone elses without knowing all the facts of there load ,chamber, barrel length can cause confusion.

With the 180 hy bergers I'm loading 60.9 gn of H1000 about 12 thou from the lands and I've had very good luck with it.

64 grains of H1000 .020 in would seem to be way over pressure 'cause I'm right at the edge. Hope this helps some.

I wonder if there's a fast lot of H1000 out there, in my gun 63.5 grains of H1000 behind a 180 hybrid .030 off the lands runs about 2880 fps with no pressure signs.
