7 PRCW l vs 7 PRCW ll

7 PRCW l vs 7 PRCW ll

What is the big difference on the two
Alex Wheeler is the guy to explain it best, but the SAAMI print for the cartridge is not correct, or maybe ideal is the better word...So the big issue early adopters discovered was the spec at the .200 line was coming in at .532. Based off this, and a lot of the commercially available dies, shooters would discover the "clicker" issue after a firing or two as the re-sizing dies would not size the lower portion of the case enough, resulting in clickers.

This was later corrected by specifying reamers out to .535 to sort out the clicker issue. There are several die manufacturers making dies which size the PRC case better than most. Erik Cortina is making an absolute cracker of a sizing die, the SAC die is supposed to be pretty good and so is the Micron Precision die from Bullet Central.

I think the above perty much sums it up. I’m sure Alex will chime in. .532ish .200 most likely require a size die reamer spec accordingly For brass and .535 geared for after market dies With a little luck. Some good dies out there for the .535 and Cortinas mandrel die can give ya bit a bit more squeeze if needed.

Erik makes a sizing die for both chambers. I have the .535 chamber but have been testing the .532 chamber die in an effort to keep the brass in check.
