7 IHMSA. Off the shelf dies, brass is easily made from 300 Sav or 6.5 CM.
Super accurate, easy to load. 7 IHMSA vs 7 BR

As others have said with a barrel that short go 7-08. The older I get the lazier I get. The older I get I find I can do more with less. Don't over look the 120 gr. bullets. They are plenty big for anything in the deer size class. I have a 20" 7-08 IMP shooting 120's @3100 FPS.

Mr. Tooley is a wise man. I have em both with 20" barrels and prefer the 7-08 as does my Son but my Grandson likes the Creed. Both using 120 TTSX Barnes. He'll be old and lazy one day and understand. Both are killing machines and easy to carry for us old farts.
DO THE 7-08 and you want look back.
