7.62x39 vs .243Win.?

Hi friends.
A question is based on a desire to fill a niche between calibers 7.62x39 and 30-06.
In relation to application of this caliber - I search most "universal"
CXP1,CXP2-on long and middle distances and CXP3 on short distances.

I don't think the .243 Win would qualify as a legitimate CPX3 gun. You may want to step up to a 6.5 mm bullet in a cartridge like the 6.5x55 Swede.

Look at the 7mm-08
Hi.
I have for a large beast 30-06 and other calibers.
My littlest caliber it 7.62x39 SKS.
I want to fill a niche between 7.62x39 SKS and 30-06.
P.S.
Cost of cartridges-it is an important question also.
Presently cheap cartridges are most accessible in calibers .223Rem.-$0.44,.243Win.-$0.87,
.308Win.-$0.69,7,62x54R-$0.87.
7.62x39-$0.29 and 30-06 -$3.12

Where is 30-06 cases $3.13? I won't shop there for anything, matter of fact I may have to tie the dog to the loading room door at those prices........

Best find yourself a nice .243 Win. Rem. VS or VLS/Savage FV and enjoy!

Cost of cartridges on Ukraine of caliber 30-06 from $2.5 to $3.13.
But for firing on hunt I utillize these cartridges.
Course 1UAH by 1$ = approximately 8UAH
800UAH=$100

I believe the 6.5x55 is a popular military cartridge in Europe? Is the price good for that cartridge?
Hi.
These cartridges are most accessible for us:
.223Rem.-$0.44,.243Win.-$0.87,
.308Win.-$0.69,7,62x54R-$0.87.
7.62x39-$0.29 and 30-06 -$3.12

Given those choices and costs, I would be tempted by the .223. You already have a couple of larger bore cartridges, so why not go with something smaller.

I assume this is factory ammunition you are speaking of buying? I'd go with the .243 if it is available cheap. The 308 and 7.62x54r are too similar to your .30-06. If the .223 isn't of any great interest, I"d definitely go 243.

However, if you reload, the 260 Remington and 7mm/08 are also both good calibers with reasonable power, and are only a quick pass of a 243 or 308 casing through a sizing die away......

you could always go with something it the 25cal area. 25-06 or 257wby. not to sure what your price range your looking to spend though or if your looking for a standard or magnum.
