7-08 Best all around bullet

I bought a box of 140 SGK 140gr and with 43.9 gr (worked up to carefuley) and with no real pressure signs this rifle willl shoot .450 very comfortably in 92 degree weathwer. I can't ask for much more than that!! I carefully lapped the bore before it was shot the first time and went through a normal breakin procedure (shoot 1 and clean) through 5 shots and shoot 2 and clean through 10 and now it collects little if any copper and shoots lights out...for a factory bbl and nothing else!

140 Ballistic Tip or a 140 Accubond. These both have done very well for me in 2 different factory 7mm-08's and a custom 7mm-08 Ackley. Hope this helps.

The 162gr AMAX gives boom flops from close to waaaayyyy out there. Longest kill to date were a large Billy goat at 770yds.....Boom Flop The Amax work OK up close as long as you don't mind Fist sized entry & exit wounds :
These are definately my go to projectile for the 7mm08 from rabbits to deer.
