6XC quality? Mr. Tubb.

Please don't view this as a "cut" or any other kind of attack it is simply a plea for information that I don't know!
Also please don't refer me to Mr. Tubb's web page, as in the past, I have thoroughly read everything and don't need assistance.
Question: Are the specifications for the 3rd generation of 6XC brass the exact same as past specs relative to linear specifications give are take?
Has the brass in this,3rd) generation have the quality for no neck turning in a custom chamber or would it be considered wise to still neck turn for clean up.
Thank you.

I just hope it isnt as soft as the batch I got in 2004. I ended up throwing all 500 in the trash..

I haven't had a chance to shoot any of it yet, as my rifle is in the hospitol right now, but the brass measures, and looks very good, I was very pleased how consistant the few samples I pulled out of a box of 700. It appears to be as good as Lapua, but like I said I haven't had the oppertunity to shoot any of it yet. As for neck turning, I am sure you can segregrate out what you need in lots, but I turn all my long range stuff just for piece of mind, I measured several pieces, and they ran pretty true. There is another post with the measurements as I don't remember what they were, something like .013"-.014" or close to that. I don't think it can be produced in quanity much better than what it is. As for hardness, it appears to be similar to Lapua

Hooser, that is a pretty abrupt decision on something you are not satisfied with. Don't you think you should have returned it,500 cases) to Mr. Tubb if you were so displeased with it? I would be willing to bet he would have worked with you in solving the dilemma! After all, his business depends on the public accepting his products but off the wall statements without further details about the load you were using, reamer/chamber specifications, bullet, even the very statement "Soft', Etc, means extremely little to guys trying to figure out things and get feedback! It is sort of like saying "I don't like Domino's Pizza", why, does this make sense to you?

PS.Dig it out of the trash, send it to me and I will pay all postage and give you a profit, let me know.

I *did* try to return it. To Mr Tubbs credit, he did offer to sell me another 500 pcs at dealer cost. Better than a poke in the eye.

My load in my Tubb2000 is Molly 107 SMK, 37.0 gns of N160, Federal Match Primers. There were no pressure signs, just very difficult bolt lift, even at 35.0 gns. Actually pulled the extractor out a few times.

Went back to Rem 22-250 brass and all is well. Still shooting 3x4 groups at 600.

Once I see lots of good reviews of this batch, I will order some more. I just dont want to end up with more bad brass...

Hoser, sorry for lashing out at you, I apologize.
I really think Mr. Tubb is trying his hardest to bring this cartridge to the forefront. You know dam well he has probably spent a small fortune so far and is a lot more displeased than you if it doesn't come in from the Manufacture at a premium level!
I am not knocking "your" accuracy potential, but why is it that he set an all time world record with it, if it is trash? To be offered replacement at cost is what I would consider a fairly good deal!
However, if you strongly believe what you received is "what you think" ask for a rain check on the next batch or something, just don't say you threw it in the trash, man, that's like slapping him in the face!!!

Is there any new information about the 6XC brass quality. I ask this because i'm about to build a new f-class rifle. Because i have read that it was not that great, currently lot #3??)

Rene,
I have had my 6XC together about two months, I am waiting on the Tubb's brass also. for now I am using Win Brass. At the July 600 yds I set the pending world record for Score in Heavy class & 2 gun Score. See Blogs on this site. The 6XC is a super round, Build it the brass will come sooner or later. I just fireformed 100 rounds of the new Nosler brass. This looks like very good brass, it comes fully preped & weighted it runs $28.00 per 50.
