6XC feeding issue in BDL

Guys I need some help here. Just finished rebarreling a Rem.700 that was a 22-250 and IS now a 6XC. I've found my load with 105 Berger Hunting VLD bullets. However I've found that the 6XC loaded rounds will not feed hardly at all in the BDL.
Question is would the follower be the issue here? I'm guessing that if I switched to a .308 follower that would fix it up, what do u think?
I've read and searched for this problem and several finds turn up that folks are having zero problems with their BDL's. in this cartridge. What the heck gives??

Can you give a little more detail about the exact problem with "feeding"? Is it not picking the rounds from the magazine or not chambering?

The only issue that I can think of might be too much OAL. I have one that was a 260 and now is a 6xc, and know of another that was a 22-250 that is now a 6xc and both feed fine. WD

It will pick up the cartridge, but then when it tries to ramp up this is where it fails. Bottom of the case still in magazine and bullet tip hitting top of action.

I am hoping that someone has an easy solution to this as I am having the same problem with my BDL that was a 22-250 and is now a 243AI with a long COAL. Mine will do the exact same thing in that it fails to pop the cartridge completely out of the mag well. It can be fed (not great at all) with only one round in the mag but it is still far from reliable.

When I ordered my Manners stock and bottom metal I went with the 308 sized mag, it's closer to the length of a 6XC and 6 Creed than it is to the 22-250, go with the 308 follower.

Isn't the 308 and 22-250 follower piece the same? I also forgot to mention that my 243AI has a Wyatt's extended magazine box.

how about converting into a single shot with a benchrest follower sold by sinclair? one of my 6x47 lapuas has one (a remington mediun, not short) and the rounds just slide in as fast as i can insert them. i once thought the bdl setup would allow the occ followup shot on varmints, but too many jams etc. i now can drop in the followup ,if needed, just as fast.

They are in my rifles - but I have the solid, machined ones, not the sheet metal stamped out ones...

Note the common element between agr and Beasley's problem is the original cartridge is the 22-250. 22-250 is very tapered, 6XC and 243AI are straight walled. It can be solved by correct selection of BDL magazine stamping and follower. Or by switching to a DBM system like the AICS.

Thanks for the tips. I will shop around for different followers. I really would like to make it feed correctly.

Update:
I finally got it !!! Picking up the case out of the magazine never was a problem. Actually the entire loading of the 1st round wasn't a problem. It was the 2nd round stacked in the magazine that would feed to the right and the bullet tip would dead end into the right side of the barrel (recess bolt cut out). 3rd shell works like 1st no problem.
I talked to Superior Shooting and they were nice & informative. He told me several they have done require some bending of the magazine box. Basically decrease the slant/wings on the box to a minimum. I did and after 5 bending attempts, nailed it!!!! Damn was it frustrating...
Hope this helps others that are in the my shoes.
