6XC brass arrived....pre-load prepping?

My brass is in, and I never had to do anything with my Hornady/Remington .308 brass prior to loading but with my 6XC Norma, do I need to chamfer debur to smooth out the neck or anything? It all looks good to me, some OAL of the brass are a little high so I might trim them down to 1.900 which I seen others on here suggest.

I run all of mine through a bushing die to make sure neck tension is uniform and lightly deburr inside and out. Also lightly chamber flash holes and if necessary I trim to uniform length to get everything as close to consistent as possible! Guess it is what makes you feel comfortable with and what floats ones boat doesn't necessarily do the same for someone else. So, again, what you feel necessary for accuracy you are satisfied with.

I start out sizing mine and then I trim them to length which leave me needing to chamfer. I debur and uniform the Norma's but think they are good enough from the get go.

Awesome, thanks guys. I will be testing some primers tonight and wanted to make sure I have everything squared away.

I've never done anything to my Norma 6XC brass. Load it straight out of the bag with Russian primers and 115 DTACS.
What load do you use with those 115DTACs? Are they bare or coated with BN?

I think I would shoot them as is with just a chamfer and neck size, then after it is fired once it conforms for the most part to your chamber .Then check the neck lengths after shooting.I seem to get more variation after the first firing.I have done it the other way and ended up retrimming some to be equal to the others that were slightly different from case to case.

Mouth dents tending toward the center of the case might not get treated by bushing sizing.

Polish, and use, your expander button, but on the way in to the mouth, or a mandrel.

Mouth inside diameter is a critical dimension; to demonstrate consistent contact on the bullet, it must be concentric.

The Norma brass is very high quality brass, however I find a large difference in weight, I just purchased 200 units and have over 7 grains of weight difference. I have read to weigh brass to and sort to .5 grains, I couldn't do any better than 1 grain top to bottom in order to get 2 groups of 80 some pieces out of the 200. The rest goes as has been said, I need to lightly turn necks for my chamber, then lightly deburr the inside flash hole, slightly champfer the inside of the neck so as not to shave side off of the new bullets and shoot em.
