6XC 108 gr. Load ?

I’m going to try 108 gr. Bergers in place of 107 SMKs. I cannot find load data for this change. Has anyone had experience with this combination. Currently, I’m using 39.3 gr. Of H4350. I don’t know how much to decrease this charge to accommodate the 108s. Thanks in advance for your input.

That charge will work, but for xtc use, and even for 1000 yard use, I only use 38.0grs of H4350. You will find that load is probably going to be super accurate and very easy on brass. I dont go for top velocity, but instead, accuracy, so if you are after velocity, you can go up from there.

I have been using 38.0 H4350 for 105, 107, 108, and 115 grain bullets. Probably two dozen barrels. Like Mudcat, I find it just works.

My bullet of choice is the 115 DTAC (rebated boat tail) naked in a 30" barrel. I'm very happy with the performance of this cartridge/bullet combination.

I'm not a NASCAR kind of guy so I usually work around the status quo load data, looking for alternatives. This was brought to the forefront when Hodgden short sheeted us on H-4350 a few years ago. I'm suggesting these powders as alternatives not that they are 'better'.

Re-23 has proven to be an excellent powder for consistency and reliability.

Hodgdon Hybrid 100V is a cooler burning powder with the same characteristics as most of the powders in this category.

Norma URP is a little warmer burning but very consistent.

VVN-550 is a significantly hotter powder but drops right into this node yielding more velocity.

R23 is the OTHER secret sauce TZ that no one is using... essentially it is the ALLIANT totally temperature insensitive 4831 with their wonderful decoppering agent. Alliant has amazing lot to lot consistency. No one is using it.
