Hi , I am setting up a new 27" barrel in 6x47L on an Accuracy Int Chasis with a Surgeon Action. This will be used in a combination of F-Class and general long range plate courses. I do have some experience with 6x47L in the past on a full Open FClass rifle with Berger 105 BT's. I however would like to hear others experiences on two things:
1. I have used Re17 with pretty good success in the past on a 27.5" 1:8 barrel, achieving 3050fps with 39.4grains and CCI450's. I 'm wishing to know others opinions with Re17 with the 105grain weight family in 6x47L. Or are these better options?
2. In setting up bullet seating position with the (new to me) 105 Hybrids I'm thinking that maybe I need more jump. Currently the bullets shank (parallel section) is extending to within 0.05" of the neck-shoulder junction. The Throat length with bullet just touching the rifling is measuring about 0.155" (my reamer has a lead of 0.104). COAL is about 2.68". I'm thinking that maybe I would be better served by having a lead of maybe 0.06" longer for more case/powder capacity. Opinions?
Thanks all.
Glen
