6x47L Loads for 115 dtac.

I just got my 6X47L. I'd like some load help with the 115 dtac's I have a 8 twist barrel.

I'm running 38.4 RL17 (2954 fps) and find a 20 thou jump suits.

I'm running 39.0 re-17 @ 3000fps 450 primers 5thou into the lands. 1 hole at 100yds 5 under a quarter @300yds (these are the older unpointed Dtacs)

Thanks guys. Is RL-17 the best powder? I don't have any but I can get some. I have a bunch of varget and RL-19.

I started my loads with 36 grn of rl-17 with 115 dtac jaming them and stepping up .5 grn at a time. It shot the 36 grn loads into 1 hole at 100 with 2790 gps. Going to shoot some 38.5 grn loads this week end. I'll post velocity.

I normally shoot 1200 yards each week (RL17 38.4gr @ 2954 fps), using Berrger 115s. However, what I have noticed is that if I switch from Bergers to DTAC, using the same load, I have to take 2 minutes of the height for the DTAC (new shape).

The implication is that the DTAC offer less wind resistance and, in the UK, are considerably cheaper.

I don't have any Dtacs, but have 500 (now 485) of the 115gr Bergers. 38.5 is looking good with such a limited sample. More testing this weekend - weather permitting.
