6x47 Lapua

i take delivery of my 6x47 lapua with 8 twist next week and i am looking for load data for a range of Bullet Heads from 85 grain up to 105 grain.Cheers Steve

Probably start with 35.0grns of varget and work up, Berger 105 vld's .010 in lands, Rem 7 1/2 primers.

Had good luck with VV160 as well.

After effing around with RL-17 and varget I now use H-4350. No pressure signs at 3150 fps with the 108 berger and 450 primers.

My rifle is a 10 twist and I shoot 85 to 105 grain bullets. H4350 always seems to outshoot Re17 by a small margin with both 85 and 105 grain hunting bullets. H414 shows real promise with 85 grain bullets. Tom

Mine is a 27" 7.5 twist and it runs exceedingly well on H4350 for both Berger 108 BTs, and 115 DTACs.
+1 I could not get similar grouping with RL-17 (fast as heck, just not as tight and more temp sensitive).

my 12 twist kreiger loves 80 gr fowler with vv550,(40-42 gr). jumping about .020- .025 thous and mvel at 3650 fps and cloverleaf at 100 yds. rel 17 works in this gun at 43 gr with same bullet...every gun is different. heavier bullets do seem to shoot better with slower powder]and could change for no known reason...did somebody say "just like a woman" ? [/quote] if i can see you, i can touch you. BANG!

Just got mine today, also......Going to break it in down stairs today/tonight.

SUPER EXCITED!!! My Jr. PETA members are gonna reak havoc on the local deer population with it this fall!!!!

And for once in my loading life I have large amounts of the CORRECT powder on hand!!
