6x47 Lapua w/1-14' twist

Today I ordered out a 6x47Lapua reamer with .060 freebore and 1.50 degree leade. Also ordered was a PacNor 24 cal, 4 groove, #3 contour, finish length to be 26". This will be fitted to a trued Rem 700LH short action. Bullet weights will be from 55 Nosler BT to 70gr Sierra BK and Nosler BT. Hunting being the reason. I thought about just using the straight 6XC but finally decided I would like to try the 6x47Lapua.

Anyone out there shooting this setup already????? Carl L.

Mine shoots bullets as heavy as 80gr..,,Berger/Fowler/Sierra)) as long as they are flat-base....it wont shoot sierra 80 gr BT's...too long aparently !!??!!The sierra 70 gr has about .100" of shank in the caseand 75 V-Max has .140"...I have not shot any smaller bullets in it with a BT,,,so be careful if the 55-60 have a bevel base or BT....not much in the case....sierra 60 and 75 shoot great and are flat base ...plenty of shank .... Have had best luk with 4350-SC...or N-560...use heavy charges and jam the bullets...try several primers....I have had ignition problems.....my bbl. is 21" and shoots em great....Roger

Here is a good pic of the gun ...bad pic of me....this pic was taken several yrs ago...the gun still shoots and looks good with the new 6 x 47 bbl on it ....wish I could say the same for me..ahhaha.........Roger
For those of you who know,or care to know ...this pic.was taken in 90 or 91 at the Hog Roast...the weather can be a lil windy and snowy and rainy and terriiibbbbbbbllll......and ooo yess my camo doesnt match.....,,,thank you fashion police!!!!)))hahah
