6x47 Lapua freebore

What are you guys running for freebore on your 6x47Ls? I just ordered a reamer from JGS and changed the neck and freebore. He had it at .055 which was a little short for the 105 and 107s it seemed- especially if you want to keep the heel in front of the potential donut.

I just got my barrel back, I went with .090,,measures up good with 87-115 gr. bullets, seated a 115 DTAC with no doughnut, also don't have to worry about running out of depth in neck of case for a long time.

.104 free bore. That would put the base of 105-115 DTAC right at the neck shoulder junction and not cut into your powder capacity as much. Or so Ive been told.

I use a .118. Long freebore for freedom and case capacity. I guess with that neck and a 105 you could do like some of the long range dasher guys and go .150+
My .118 i can shoot dtacs or 90gr whatever i like

I have 3 guns chambered with .120 and shoot variety of 105 grain bullets. They shoot very well.

.125 would be my minimum if i ordered another. I tried to play it safe before. Id actually get a .140. It has a longer neck than a dasher and .155 is good with them.

Hey guys, I've been following this thread and I have a question. What comparator do you use to determine your freebore? I have two brands, first is the Hornady and with it I'm getting 0.158". The second one is the Sinclair and I'm getting 0.239". Both measured using a Sierra match King 107gr BTHP that when seated just touching the lands, the base is about midway in the shoulder. I also discovered a Hornady 87gr V-max touching the lands, its base is midway the shoulder. So I will be testing these as well. Thanks for looking....
