6x47 Lapua anyone?

Looking for powder suggestions for the 6x47 Lapua other than the usual ones: Varget, Hodgon 4350, and the RL's. Would be ingested in what you're using. Trying to find a load for the Vihtavouri powers.{Spelling?}. with a Berger 105 gr, bullet.

Somewhere I saw a post recently, 2000-MR in either 6 or 6.5x47L.

N-550 is one that I have on the shelf but have only tried it in 6.5x47L.

All of the same powders they show for the 6mm Creedmoor using that same bullet are good candidates for the x47 brass.

You can find a Hodgdon listing that also shows powders like 4064 and 4831 for the 105 Scenar bullet, so all of these are good candidates too.

N150, if you are looking at the VV powders. You need to do the load workup.
You can find H4350 at a few places now.
Mine loves RL16 and shoots really small and fast.

I have a 6x47 that shoots multiple great loads...

Berger 95 VLD with VVN 550
Berger 105 VLD with H4350
Sierra 90 Game king with VVN 550

Like others have said, you need to do the load workup.

Sierra is showing N540 as their accuracy load at 2800 FPS with the 107. They also have data for the hybrid 100V powder.
I use imr 4451 enduron in mine and like it fine. Like Ranger188, I tried RL16 with some hunting bullets. Loved it for the speed and the size of the powder kernels is wonderful to work with.

Getting ready to work up a load with RL16 and 105 Bergers for my 6x47 Lapua. Moving away from Varget as all my rifles seem to use it. If anyone has any pet loads with RL16 please pm me.

I have a couple of 6x47 Lapua's that I load for. In one of them I use H4350 with 105gr Berger VLD's with a velocity of 3075. It's a 28" heavy barreled varmint rig and shoots the Berger's and also 70gr Blitzkings into tiny little groups.

The other rifle is a light weight hunting rifle my wife uses for deer. In this one we're shooting 105gr Berger VLD's with N140 at a velocity of 2975 fps. We lost a little velocity using the N140 but we also are only using a 24" length barrel. I was going to try a load in it with H4350 but it shot so good with the N140 I didn't even bother.

Vit N160 works well with 107 SMK or 105vld.

Thanks all. Looks like I'll try N540. I also use it in my 6BR 1/8 twist. Shoots real well.
