6x45mm,6mm-223)

does any one have some range time with this round?
I picked up a Ruger M77 MkII as a project gun,199.99) and was thinking on a rebarrel job and make it into a nice yote rifle

I have a old Distiguished HP shooter friend who thinks it is a great XC round. Long tube life, easy feeding, great accuracy and very little recoil. Not great beyond 600 though. I'll quiz him for more details

I have tryed about 4 loads now in my 6X45mm and all are very accurate so far. My gun is a custom DTech AR with a Shilen 22in.barrel its definitely a 1/2 MOA gun. The powders I have tryed are H322,Reloder7,AA2015 and h335. All have been very consistent with ES being lower than any other caliber I have loaded for.H335 gives the highest velocity but all are capable of decent speed and great accuracy. The bullet that has shot best so far has been the 68gr Berger and its easy to get 3150fps.If you are happy with 3000fps any powders listed above will do you a fine job and I would have a hard time choosing the best its that close. If you load bullets bigger than 70gr you may run into compressed load problems though all mine have been 68gr or lighter.
