6X22-250 and RL-17

Taking a shot in the dark, here and looking for some hands-on, using the RL-17 in a 6X22-250.
Will be using the 105-108 bullet wts.

Essentially you have an 'unimproved' 6XC - that is one that holds a bit less powder. My experience with Re17 in the 6XC (as well as .243 Win., and a few other hunting calibers) has been stellar. I imagine you would max out around 36 gr. but I believe the Sierra manual has loads for your cartridge. Use the same beginning load as for H4350 or IMR 4350 and you will be good to go.

My current load is 36.5/H-4350. Is the RL-17 a bit slower than H-4350, then?

No experience with the 6-22/250 but it should be close to the 6x47 Lapua I do shoot. I have had slightly better accuracy with H4350 but Re17 has produced some very tight groups as well. I started with the same weight with H4350 and Re 17 and worked up slow until I got the best groups. I tried Re17 up until I started to show pressure signs and good never quite duplicate the groups I got with H4350. Tom
