6PPC vrs 6BR for 300/400 egg shoot

got an egg shoot in a couple weeks that is 10 targets at 400 first and 10 targets at 300,,you get 5 minutes for sighters then you get 10 shots with no sighters for the 10 targets on each stage,,I have a 12 twist PPC and 8 twist BR for the same rifle ,,since you cant go back and shoot sighters while shooting the eggs I think I would be better off with the 6BR 104 load than the 6PPC 68 JDS load,,even though the PPC is more accurate I think my chances in the wind will be better with the 104s,,

I think I am gonna use my 243 bbl over my BR-DX bbl on my other rifle also,,with the 105VLDH at 3225 I can pretty much just hold the edges and still connect,,

at what range do most of you seasoned match shooters think the 6BRs better wind skilz will take over the 6PPCs better group skilz??

the sighter board is bright white and seeing the bullet holes is no problem,,I have a 8-32 SIII Sightron on the 243/BRDX rifle and a 35X Leupold LCS on the PPC/BR rifle ,,they shoot 400 first and I didnt have any trouble seeing the holes on the sighter board last time,,

I have a somewhat similar situation. I have one BR rifle with several barrels. For 600 yards I shoot a 6mm Dasher with 105 VLD's, but am considering putting on a 6 PPC barrel for an upcoming 300 yard match. Since it has a 13 3/4 twist I will have to shoot 68 gr. bullets. I believe that I will shoot the 6PPC and save my 105's for the next match. We will see how it works out. James

I think of a 6PPC as a 100 yard game Gun. 200-300 6BR 105s are going to Dominate in my opinion.

I have won and set records at 500 yard groundhogs matches with a 6ppc. But, at 300 and 400 for all the marbles (or eggs), I would go with the bullet bc, in my case that would be my 6BRX with 107 SMK unless it was dead/no conditions.
