6mmbrx and Berger 80 gr fb help needed

XXPER

Silver $$ Contributor
I recently purchase a rifle chambered in 6mmbrx and plan on shooting it at our local 200yd matches.
It has been suggested to shoot Berger 80 grain flat base bullets at this distance. I would appreciated any load suggestions for this combination.

Thanks Jim

barrel twist. ?
i have a 7.5 an the 80gr are to to lite .. you 'd have to load them light or they will have a mind of there own go'n down range

better is 88gr .. start w/ varget 31.6 cci450 an work-up

good luck

I have a brx with. 8 twist, I shoot the same bullet at 200 as I do 600... The 105 hybrid. I don't shoot groups but won the last 4 egg matches at my club and it came Dow to 54 cal paintballs at 200yrds and last month I went 6 for 6. I know it's not group shooting but don't discount the 105s in the brx.

I've never owned a 7.5 twist 6mm, but the 80's do fine, IME, in an 8 twist or slower. I've never had to back off on the load to make them shoot in one. I'd suggest XBR8208 is worth trying, as is Varget.

That sounds like it will give the 30BRs a run for their money. Ryan Rodts will have a new 30BR on the firing line Sunday at the Hillsdale Tri-State varmint shoot. This morning he was breaking in the barrel Pierce Engineering chambered for him yesterday . Are you going to make it to the Tri-State?
