What cartridge? Who's reamer used to chamber the barrel? Seated into the lands or well off?

Eve if you're only talking about a 6BR cartridge, there are many potential COAL's depending on how a given chamber is throated - the distance from where the neck begins on the case to where the bullet first encounters the rifling, or leade.

Every rifle will be a little different unless you're comparing two (or more) rifles all built by the same gunsmith.

I assume you're not asking about COAL for loads to be fed from a magazine? That adds another level of complexity depending on just what rifle action / magazine you're asking about.

You need to give more details before anyone can answer your questions with confidence....

Ditto what spclark said: Cartridge over-all-length is a meaningless number. Completely dependent on the throat depth of each individual rifle. As an example, I have several rifles, of the same cartridge (6BR) that have freebore dimensions from zero to .107", that will have over-all-length differences of ???? .107". The dimension that most of us are concerned with is the length to the point on the bullets ogive where it contacts the lands in the throat. Now, that number has a whole lot of meaning.
