6mmBR Cartridge Boxes

Have tried many different cartridge boxes for the 6mmBR with no joy. Usually the box is too deep and you can't get a grip on the next cartridge, especially if it is a molied bullet. I finally came across a box made by JandJ products that doesn't need foam help for spacing, www.jandjproducts.com ) that seems to fill the bill. The lower portion of the box is short enough to get a grip on the cartridges. The top of the box has been left with the room taken out of the bottom for those extra long seated bullets. I found these at midsouth shooters supply on sale for under $3 but the shipping seemed to be high. Maybe they can be found somewhere else on the websites.
Just wanting to pass it along
Richard

steve, what COL would you consider max for those 100 round boxes?
There is no info on the website about that.

I don't know and I'm not sure I ever recorded the length of the cartridge since I only measure to the ogive. I guess one estimate is to measure the box height from the outside and subtract the thickness.

gunamonth, thank you for the info. It looks like they won't work for a long freebore barrel with the 105s.

I have been using 50 round box by Plano, available at Bass Pro-Shops and Cabella. It does need a piece of foam inserted in the top to keep things in order but is still nice. It has a real hinge for the top instead of the solid plastic piece so the top stays out of the way at the bench.

Which box? got a model number?

The Plano box says Model 1212 on the bottom. It also says 'Holds 22/250, 30/30, 308 & Others'. It measures approximately 6' wide X 3 1/8' High X 3 1/4' Deep.

I use a 1/2 inch piece of dowel rod in the bottom of box. If I need longer dumb them out. Perk

Hi Richard long time no see at the range.

MTM's RS-S-50 are for the BR sized cases.

It's about a half inch shorter than the 308 sized one and holds 50 rounds.

Those are what I use. They fit my 6BR ammo loaded with 105/108/109 Bergers loaded to .020 over jam without interference (can't go much longer than that - not sure why I'd need to, though, either.)
