I bought the Howa mini barreled action (20" HB) from Brownell's. Got a Stocky's CF VBM stock, and Jefferson Outdoors blind bottom metal. The barreled action is finally at my FFL and I'll pick that up today, already have the rest.
I'm looking for any tips or advice in putting this all together, and getting it set up for use. Anything to pay attention to when mating up the action, stock, and bottom metal? What has been the experience with stock barrels, do they require much in the way of break-in?
Any tips or advice appreciated.

I have basically the same setup. The inlet on my stock was very generous and required an ample amount of bedding compound. Oddly enough the barrel channel was the opposite and needed a fair amount of sanding to get to free float.

Got everything assembled without much trouble. That bottom metal is nice and compliments the build in my opinion. The barrel is NOT free floating, and there is a contact point at the very end of the forearm right at the 6 o'clock position of the barrel. It's kind of like the old pressure-point stocks that some factory barrels had years back. For now, I am not doing anything with that until I can put some rounds downrange with it, and we'll see how it shoots.

I suggest removing that pressure point before doing anything. You're going to eventually do that anyway...doing it from the start will give you a better idea of how it shoots and save time and components.
