I purchased 100 rounds of 6mm Remington, Winchester brand brass for my old .244. While cleaning it up, some of the brass has a sort of collet crimp impression on about the last 1/16" of an inch of the outside of the neck. This has left sort of crimp marks on the outside and a ridge line on the inside. The crimps are way too long to remove when sizing the oal of the cases even after one firing. I did not see it on all the cases, but it is present on most. I also have had a few necks split after one firing. Has anyone else seen this? I wonder if the Remington brand brass would have been a better choice for this reason. Thanks, Peter.
