6mm Rem with 105 Berger Hybrids

I'm in the process of building 6mm Rem on a Savage 110 LA with a Bartlein 1-8 twist looking at using the Berger 105 Hybrid for long range target use. Has anyone tried these bullets? If so what kind of loads were you using and how did it do?

A. A huge number of people use these bullets, including me.
B. Most people load these hotter than published max charge weights, including me. You gotta' test for yourself and work up VERY carefully.
C. People who shoot the 105 Hybrids often prefer them to the VLD versions, including me. At local 600 yd BR matches I often-as-not shoot smallest group or highest score......... sometimes both.

It would be worth plugging your data into the Berger Twist Calculator on their site. They are now recommending a faster than 8" twist for the 105 Hybrid.

Guys,
See how to properly interpret your results on our TWIST RATE CALCULATOR here:
http://www.bergerbullets.com/berger-bullets-twist-rate-recommendations-by-eric-stecker-bryan-litz/. Our new twist rates are based on a worst case scenario of 59 degrees at sea level. ALTITUDE is your biggest friend when compensating for lack of twist. Dont forget to enter in yours and always pick your barrel twist rate using the lowest altitude you will be shooting at. National Weather Service website can be used to find or get you close on altitude if you don't know.
Take care,

I shoot 6 mm VLDS and 6.5 Hybrids. VLDS were touching lands but Hybrid with a 6.5 are often are .10-.70 off. Hopefully someone can tell you where the 6 Hybrids should fall. I have 6 hybrids but have not had to reload my stash since buying them.
