6mm on 6.5x47

given a 1/8 twist barrel how would this work on groundhogs with 107 to 115 grain bullets out to 600 yards whitch is my longest shots in my area?i am wanting this gun also to be used in light class 1000 yd shooting.i have seen it used in this but a friend says a dasher is a better 1000 yd case.as long as the gun is built right is this a issue?

I just killed a groundhog at 754 yards with 105 Amax's and a 6mmXC, which is close to a 6x47. And I also think you will do fine with that cartridge at 1000 yard competitions - for a 6mm caliber.
