6MM in a .243 ?? 7MM in a 7.62x54

Trying to find chart that shows what ammo can be used in what caliber ? such as .38 in a .357 mag pistol. 6MM in a .243 rifle ? 7MM/7.62X54 ?? thanks for the help :-)

One of the easiest ways is to got to a Bullet Manufacturers web site such as Hornaday ,Speer , Berger ,Nosler ,etc

I think two out of three will work in some fashion. The .38 in a .357 will work fine in some hand guns. I was a Deputy Sheriff back in the mid 60 to late 70s when most were switching from the .38 to the new .357, and if you had a 357, you had to carry so many round of 38 special AP to share with a partner, or any officer with a 38. Yes they issued us 38sp AP (armor piercing), and I still have some.
The 6MM and 243 bullets should work fine. But forget the 7MM in a 7.62 bore, it would be vary hard on your brass, and vary inaccurate at a minimum. So dont do that.
If your new to this hobby, get a good reloading book like Sierra's and check out the various calibers, and bullet diameters.
Mike.

Thanks to those who offered help :-)....Not going to do any reloading, just has been so long since I used to be interested etc......Just trying to get the lost memory and what I didn't know, thanks again...Was hoping there might be simple chart that did inform what could and could not Thanks again Ken

A 7mm in a 30 cal 7.62 bore would not be good. :)
