Good morning fella's, I just got to playing with the fat rat and have been wondering if anyone who has any dealings with this round has ever formed brass from 220 Russian? I know I can just get 6.5 Grendel but every now and again I've seen the 220 Russian Lapua brass on sale for considerably cheaper. I've read folks sizing 7.62x39 down but I'm thinking shrinking the neck .068" would need some extra work over the .019" sized up from the Russian case. Curious about case volume as well being I learned the Hornady cases are a bit shy of the Lapua 6.5 Grendel.
Any advice would be rather appreciated! just would rather ask and see if anyone has done this before spending the cash on brass to find out it doesn't work. Later,
