6mm Fat Rat fire forming

I shoot several 6 AR T40's that I believe are very similar to the FAT RAT. False shoulder...shim of some kind works very well. Like a Dasher, quite accurate when fire forming, even considering its with reduced powder loads. Have Fun! Eric in DL

False shoulder.

BTW, the fire-forming rounds will be surprisingly accurate (half minute at 200 yards).

Admittedly, I am a little new to this FAT RAT, Turbo 40 deal.

But, I've talked to Lee extensively about this, and the false shoulder seems like the best approach to me for several reasons.

I had heartburn with loading long. The false shoulder method with the shim should be a more consistent and repeatable process IMO.

6mm Fat Rat www.accurateandreliablerifle.com is a 6.5 Grendel case partially necked down to 6mm, the false shoulder allows the case to be up against the bolt face, so the firing pin will strike the primer. Forming the 6 fat rat case.

The false shoulder is/can be used to fir form 6BRX, 6 Dasher 6brdx and a multitude of wildcat cartidges

Works quite well.
