6mm Dasher Loads

In my spare time, I'm working on compiling what I can from the data mentioned in these posts into an Excel doc. If you could, please enter future info in this order:
NEW BARREL
Bullet Weight - 105
Bullet Manufacturer - Berger
Bullet Model - Hybrid
Brass Manufacturer
Powder (i.e. Varget, RE-15, N140, etc.)- Varget
Powder Charge Weight (in grains)- 32.4
Primer Used - CCI 450
Velocity- 2,910
Barrel Length 31
Freebore 120

Using the list above, in that particular order, will make creating the Excel doc. much easier. I'm only on page 2 from this thread so far, but I'd like to work my way through all of the pages on this thread. I will provide this Excel doc. to anyone who is interested when it is complete. I'm put another post on here when I've got it done. Might take me a few weeks to get it done (full time job, wife, and two young boys get most of my time in the day), but I'll keep working on it.

I know you all have been anxiously awaiting this data. Here it is.

-Winchester Staball Match pressures \ velocity tests.
- 6 Dasher. Lapua no turn chamber .150 FB. Proof 26" SS blank. Impact action.
- Lapua brass with CCI 450's
- 107gr SMK ( the old ones!) 1.850 CBTO ( is about .020 off in my chamber)

Test #1
- 31.0gr = 2693 fps
- 31.2 = 2743
- 31.4 = 2750
- 31.6 = 2759
- 31.8 = 2762
- 32.0 = 2766
- 32.2 = 2820
- 32.4 = 2809
- 32.6 = 2844
- 32.8 = 2852
- 33.0 = 2838
- 33.2 = 2852
- 33.4 = 2859
End test 1

Test #2
- 33.0 = 2848
- 33.2 = 2871
- 33.4 = 2916
- 33.6 = 2876
- 33.8 = 2914
- 34.0 = 2925
- 34.1 = 2931
- 34.2 = 2936
- 34.3 = 2940
- 34.4 = 2947
End test 2

5 shot string of 33.5gr, same load parameters as above. Just a guess at good charge weight after test #1.
Avg = 2890
SD= 4.3
Max = 2897
Min = 2886
ES = 11

I was shooting all this at 500yds so I can't really comment on groupings. It never came off a 10" steel plate.

A few of the charges At the upper end started to give me faint ejector marks. Very faint. As always, do your own work ups. I'm sure these powder charges will be over listed max if they ever get to publishing data for this combo.

I just re-read this whole thread, and no one is running N140 or N150 in the dasher. Or at least isn’t bragging about it. I just tried N150 today and I am very interested in this as it shot very well at lower velocities and initial testing.

Anyone else out there using N150?
I’m looking in to N150 also and don’t know where to start. And help would be appreciated.

I didn’t see a lot of data on the 110 atip hornady bullet so here is some. Only three shots each and it was pretty cold when I shot these. Bat MB action 29” Kreiger barrel 1-7.5 twist and the data comes from a lab radar. FYI none shot particularly well despite weighing and measuring great. Also lapua 2 fired brass. And I was jumping .030” in a .170” freebore chamber.IMG_1923.jpeg

Just shot my Dasher today at a practice.
32.0 varget
Alpha brass OCD
105 berger hybirds
cc450
Barrel twist 7.5
FPS 3015

1100 yards it was shooting 8.0 mills
330 to 1100 yards the rifle was shooting great.
That's just about where my node is 33.2 gets me 3080fps with the exact same components as you
