6mm Dasher brass

Why is the 6mm Dasher brass from bullets.com .040 longer than the standard 6BR? If the Dasher case is made from 6BR brass it should be the same length?

its not made from 6br brass. it is a whole new case that uses a completely different reamer. it has a longer neck because some folks thought that the std dasher had a short neck.

Thanks Dusty. Got blindsided by this question from a customer and I didn't have an answer. My reamer is marked 6mm Dasher Norma so I am assuming he is good to go. Brass chambers OK.

Yes the dasher norma is the long brass. No lapua.

Pretty simple, the only 6Dasher brass that's production made is the "Norma 6mm Dasher" with the longer case neck (1.600" case length). Which also can be used in the shorter necked chambers if trimmed.
