6mm Creedmoor Shooters...

I need a favor. I’m wondering if a standard (non bushing) full length 6mm Creedmoor sizing die with the expander removed would work as a body die for .22 Creedmoor. Anyone willing to remove the expander from their 6mm Creedmoor FL die and measure the neck OD for me?

Thanks,

John

My 6CM die is a Redding bushing die so I can't directly help you, but as long as you know a 6CM standard FL die isn't going to size or touch the neck, it should work perfectly fine as a body sizing die for a 22 CM. Unless I'm mistaken, short of the neck size differences, the case dimensions for the 6.5CM, 6CM, and 22CM are all the same, I think, so even a 6.5CM FL with the button removed should work as a body sizing die for all three.

It will work fine.
The 6 creed body is the same as the 22 creed
Your OD neck measurement will vary very slightly from different companies dies
and will change neck ID from different brass companies neck thickness
This is from Forster and their 6 creed neck dia. is .262

So to form 22 creed you'll need a bushing die to get down to the 22 creed
or just buy some Alphamunnitions 22 creed brass and be done with it.

Appreciate the replies. Am going to have a .22 Creedmoor barrel chambered at some point and am just thinking ahead. Plan is to get a 6mm Creed FL die to use as a body die and send Lee some fired cases to have them make a Collet die. Will probably go with the RCBS Comp seating die since they make that for .22 Creed.
