6mm BRX Throat Dimensions

I am in the process of ordering a 6mm BRX reamer from Dave Kiff.

The rifle will be used for NRA MR and LR shooting using 105-107 wt bullets. All shooting done from prone with sling.

Have done a bunch of research and here is my question.

What throat length should I specify? I see dimensions from .110" all the way up to .187" for these bullets in the improved BRX cartridge.

The longer throat makes sense with the shoulder moved forward but I don't want to have the throat so long that I don't have enough bullet in the case! I just want to avoid any possible interferrence with the base of the bullet and a potential "Donut"

HELP.

I took Dave Kiffs advice and went with .120 and has worked great.
I now have 3 rifles, different weight classes) chambereed in 6BRX with that throat and all 3 shoot very good.

Good Luck & Good Shooting.

Gents,

Thanks for the replys. I would assume that a freebore dimension for a standard 6 BR or a 6 Dasher would be different than the 6mm BRX. The BRX has a shorter neck length than either of those two cartridges and that would drive the freebore with the same bullet to a longer length. Is that thinking correct?

So if you fellas are using .120" freebore, the BRX with a .025" shorter neck would need to add to that dimension. At least that sounds right to me.
