6mm brass WW-SUPER

I wasn't clear enough, I own the brass. Im not looking to purchase any 6mm brass. Probably more the avenue to sell with possible collectibility in mind.

Can someone point me in the direction of how would I believe 1970s unfired in good condition 6mm rem brass would be to get the best bang for the buck? Collectible to some i believe. I did some looking but didnt find much. Its hard as i wouldnt think theres much out there with the 6mm rem.

Thanks

Jameson

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and so is value. That's good to have but not as desirable as Norma. The Remington stuff in the green and orange box is also quite good. Then there is the 244 Remington brass which is rare as hens teeth.

Yes it is. Maybe I think its better than it actually is which is why I posed the question. Get to hear from others who've been in the game a lot longer. Had plans to put a 6mm together but realistically I probably wont barring getting a t3(x) barrel chambered in 6 rem.

Someone who has one and shoots would buy the brass. Its not a common cartridge and that prevents guys from building anything to use 6 rem. I have a good stockpile so I'll have and shoot my 6 rem till I die of old age.
If I lived in a state that allowed for multiple deer tags and pigs and whatnot to shoot with generous seaspns, id probably build one. Not the best multi use rifle cal for deer/elk and 1 per year at that

If I had a 6mm Rem, I'd be interested in buying it, but I dont. Back when this was made (pre Lapua at least in the US) I preferred WW brass, if available, for about everything because it usually had slightly more case capacity than other brands. Those boxes of brass usually sold for somewhere between $5 & $8 new at stocking gunshops. Nothing terribly special or all that rare, but it is getting rarer.

If you want to date it, there's a number stamped inside the box on one of the flaps.

Powder Valley has Hornady for $0.86 a piece. I thinking you should get $1.00 a piece to the right individual. I’m glad I stocked up years ago for probably about $0.25 each. A lot of people have no experience with the 6mm Remington or they’d be more desirable!

Here's the lot. Same with all 18 boxes.
I believe it is 1979 I think?

I’m not sure there’s much “collectibility” there, but I suppose if there is then eBay would be the place to sell it.

If you're going to build do a 6mm Creedmoor same performance much better brass and accuracy.
Brass is only part of the story for a 6mm Rem.

A friend built one from an early Tikka T3 Varmiter in 22-250 before they offered fast twist rates to stabilize the 69gr Bergers he preferred and had worked with extensively in 223's in the same platform.

He rebarreled the 22-250 Tikka to 6mm Rem, shifted the bolt stop and got the longer magazines to accommodate 6mm Rem. The 22-250 bolt face is a match for the 6mm Rem so no changes to the bolt are needed.

A Match grade barrel was profiled to drop straight into the Tikka stock and a custom freebore to seat 105gr Bergers long to maximize the increased case capacity and long neck of the 6mm Rem and lastly several bags of Winchester brass known to be fairly tough to withstand the beyond book loads he was to develop.
Instantly it shot ~0.3 MOA just forming brass to be sent to Redding for custom FL dies....and I witnessed that group !

Once load development was complete RL17 was settled on and provided velocities 200fps faster than anything in print and grouped 5 into 30mm (~1 1/4") @500yds.
Further, ballistic calcs showed it could deliver the magic numbers to reliably take down deer (2000fps 1000ft/lbs) out to 750 yds !
Topped with a 6-24x Nightforce with the fine tactical reticle option so to not cover small game I witnessed him take a rabbit @820yds !

No 22 Needmore would ever be capable of such !

My first post as renewal member.
I have stuck with six remington for quite a while. I'm sure it shoots better than I can.
Not dissatisfied with available brass. Hornady or PPU from midway.
If no one offers you a better home for it. Let me know.
Tom
