6MM BRA 300 yds 80Gr Bullet

I have a 6MM BRA 8 twist. I'm interested in loading 80 gr bullets for shooting up to 300 yds. Do any of you have experience with loading 80 gr bullets in the 6MM BRA. Would you be willing to share load data and groups you are seeing at 300 yds?

Thanks

I can't help you with a BRA but I will give you something on either side. A 6 BR, 80 Berger and 30.5 grains of 8208 is very good. Velocity around 3150. It is MAX in my rifle.
In a 6 Dasher, around 34 grains of 8208 and the 80 Berger does very good. Close to 3400 velocity.
I think about 29 grains would be a good starting place in the BRA

I’ve shot something like 6000 80 gr bullets from the BRA in UBR matches the last two years.I’ve had five different barrels. The .236 bores shot 32.5-32.8 and the .237 bores have been at 32.8-33.4 of 8208xbr
Groups while tuning in prime conditions at 300 under .5 inches are common.
I have got up to 3400 fps but it aggs best at 3280 or so.

I think youll be disappointed if your 8 twist was chambered for a 103+ bullet
Dusty, can you tell me why you think this??
I have a 6MM BR 8 twist and 80 gr Berger bullets can touch the lands and they don't seem to shoot too bad.
Mind you, it's not benchrest groups, but pretty nice for a Factory Savage f class rifle.

If you can touch the lands thats perfect. I think the savage has around an .080 freebore. Most custom barrels wont be that short- thats tons of wasted case capacity with a 103+. You wont have a problem with the twist itself being faster than needed

I will have to check the 6MM BRA to see if the 80's will touch??

Thanks
