Hey guys i am new to this site. I just orderd a cooper varminter in a 6br rem with a 26 inch barrel it has a 1/14 twist rate just wandering if anyone has any load data i would appreciate thanks

The 1-14 twist will severely limit the bullets you can shoot.

Thanks guys I kinda wanted something with a faster twist but thats what they come with I didn't really plan on shooting anything over a 75grn bullet.

I called Cooper yesterday to enquire about 6BR twist rates. They can offer a faster twist but it's a $200 upgrade option according to Rob Behr. Might be cheaper to just buy another barrel from PacNor if you ever want to shoot the long bullets. Or find out if they'll sell you the rifle without a barrel for a discount.

FYI, Cooper might be offering a faster twist rate standard some time in the future, but that is still under consideration.

I also have a Cooper MTV 6mmBR with a 14 twist 26" barrel. I have had great luck with 32.5 gr. VV N135 and a 65 gr. Vmax. Also 34 gr. Varget and a 70 gr. Blitz King. Lapua brass of course. Rem. 7 1/2 primers.
Moderator, I think you might have asked the wrong question at Cooper. To special order a twist is $200. They offer a 10 twist standard on their .243 or 6mm. I think you could get the 10 twist as they have those barrels in stock. I don't want to speak for Cooper but this is what I was told. I wanted the 14 twist.
