6MM BR

To finish this post.
I found Horady 103ELD-X on Brownells and ordered a box to try.
No Varget has been found yet.
The rifle is in and I'll pick it up this afternoon.
I PMed Lance about a couple of Sightrons I'm considering.
Now just need to wait for the dies and gages to come in!
I do have a Primary Arms FFP scope i can put on to fire form and
may do that.

Big Mc has it right. I prefer the Berger 105 Hybrids, but haven't tried the 108's yet. The 103 ELD-X is not a target bullet but will work for barrel break in and practice. Sightron 3 10X50 scopes are also a great buy. Good luck.

Boltman,
I bought the Hornady's for break in and fire forming.
I bought th e108 Berger's because that is what was on the shelf.
I will try everything in that weight range i'm sure when I can buy
them.

108g Bergers are very, very easy to tune, leave a big smile on your face. Would love to hear of the accuracy of the 108g Hornady...never had the courage to buy any.

The 105g berger hunting vld is a home run also.

Did this with 108 Berger BTT 2 weeks back prone with a bipod at 300yd. There are 4 shots in the x and the one that destroyed the group was operator error, 27.4 grs. H4895 with CCI 450.
This week I did some load work up with N 140 and 105 BTT, results look promising.

Lots of good powders to try. N140 works well.

As does RL-15, 8208XBR, IMR4064, Benchmark; I've had decent groups with H335.

6BR, IMO, tends to be like 308: If you are looking for higher-than-consumer-grade accuracy, it's not really all that picky.

If you're looking for top notch competition grade accuracy, well, you've got your work cut out for you. Lots of testing to do to find THE load...

I have a good supply of 4064. Will have to try some out. Its my main powder for 223 & 308 service rifle matches,

The Sierra loading manual lists IMR 4064 loads for the 6mm Norma BR. I’m in the process of load work-ups for a Win. Model 70 varmint rifle re-barrel. The new 28 inch Heavy Palma is a no turn neck 1:7.5 twist. Load testing a low speed node using Sierra 107’s shows promise with IMR 4064. I started by using Sierra recommended IMR 8208 accuracy velocity for the 107 bullet. I am very early in the work up process with only 171 rounds down the tube. Attached photos depict sub 1/2 moa groups at 100 yds and a bunch of shots inside an F class 10 ring bull at 300 yds. The 300 Yd work was done 12/17/2021 at Manatee in 80 degree weather with a 12-15 mph gusting wind and the usual terrible Manatee Fl. Mirage. In summary, absent Varget, IMR 4064 is showing promise at short to medium range.
