6mm BR/115gr. DTAC

Tried a load today in the new 6mm BR with the 115 gr. DTAC. Had loaded a ladder of 30.3-30.5-30.7 gr. of Varget. Shot the 30.3 gr. Load first, seemed to have a lot of vertical string (1.0”), 2820 fps with an SD of 3.2 loaded 0.010 into the lands. The load was leaving light ejector marks so I didn’t shoot the other two loads. I did shoot a ladder test with the new Hornady 110gr. A tip bullets. Same Varget loads as above and loaded 0.010 into the lands. The 30.3 gr. Load looks promising with a 5 round group in the 3’s and a velocity of 2830fps and an SD of 7.0. The other two loads didn’t show any promise and were showing light ejector marks.

FWIW , I've been shooting the DTAC's in 3 6x47's and they don't like being jammed at all. 10-20 thou jump is amazing in these 3 , 6x47's. The accuracy I've been experiencing is awesome and no "unexpected" flyers.

Thanks for the info. I believe I will have to lower the powder charge a little but good to know they like a jump. I have a 6XC that’s the next test for the 115gr. DTAC’s.
TBH I never thought I switch from the Berger's that were proven , time and time again but when I spoke with David about them I tried them and all three guns will shoot them in the .1's and occasionally better if I do my part. Getting great velocity and couldn't be happier I tried them. Just I side note , I also ordered 500 of the "nose ring" DTAC's for hunting purposes and nothing changed at all .......very happy. The 6XC should shoot them well , and probably 3050-3080 I'd guess.

May I ask what twist are you using for the 115 DTACs with your 6x47? Thank You..

I've had two 6XC chambered 7.75T barrels using 115gn D-tacs, 1st barrel liked them jammed now the 2nd barrel likes the rebated bullet jumped. 10 thou & 60 thou jumped @2970. They look like they might go ok @ 3060 as well, jumped.
