6mm bbls with .236 and .237 bores??

Why are there 2 different bore sizes in the 6mm barrels? Is one preferred over the other and if so is it preferred in one discipline over the other? Do short range benchrest shooters prefer one over the other? Thanks in advance for responses.

The way I understand it, the .237 is preferred when using the short fat bullets with a pressure ring. The .236 for the boat tails and VLD type bullets that have no pressure ring.
