7 twist is a little faster than a 8 twist. I would think the 7 would be fine. Maybe he meant an 8 twist or faster? That's usually the way twist is recommended.

A local dealer here has several Bartlein 5R SS barrels.237 bore blanks new and been there couple years. Look like REM Varmint profile. Had a 6.5 also. Let me know and can get price.
