6mm AI fireforming accuracy

What size groups can you expect when fireforming a case like the 6mm AI? Is it good enough to use on prarie dogs or do you just have to basicallly waste powder and bullets to get brass?

As Gunamonth said, forming brass in the 6AI or most any other AI for that matter can lead to good groups. Of course you need an accurate 6mm Rem load to achieve that accuracy, but it can be done.

Thanks, guys. My only other experience is a 218 Mashburn Bee and it shoots great AFTER fireforming the brass, but so far I haven't been able to get better than about 1.5" at 100yds. while fireforming. I am considering building a 6mm on a custom action and I am a bit hesitant if I can't get respectable fireform loads. The bee fireform is pretty dramatic, so maybe that contributes to the problem.

Mine is shooting between one and one half MOA during fireforming....driving 105's at around 3200. I expect that to shrink considerably as I fine tune the load/bullet I intend to utilize. My 243 ack did the same thing.
But your question was about prairie dogs so, yes, accurate enough to explode rodents.
