6gt or 6BR accurate 4350

Has anybody tried this in 6gt or 6br?
105-109 Berger hybrids
Anybody have a starting load and max load?

H4350 is very close. I have had excellent results with 108 Hotenstiens. I had to have a 7" drop tube, don't know how fluffy accurate 4350 is, but H needed compressed loads to get to an accurate one.

6br, 32.0 grains and work up. Max is variable depending on individual gun. So work up slowly, .2 grain it's not going to Spike unexpectedly with this caliber and that burn rate.

Did not try 4895, but yes I had 100+ load density, and was reaching max pressures. V target did not shoot any better, or give me quite as much velocity.

But! In a standard BR I chose to back off bullet wieght to 95 grain, for over 100 fps more speed, with the same accuracy, and a Bibb bullet, that shares the same coefficient as the 103 to 108 class bullets, within a couple digits.

For those I could not get enough H4350 in the case to get top pressure, or reach the 3005 fps or match the accuracy, but I could with Varget.

Accuracy is always top priority. The 4350 couldn't do it in reduced power loads. Trust me if it would have shot better with Varget using the 108's, we would have stuck with them.

Same for the 95's, if they shot better with H4350, that's what I would be using. The 95's just offer better everything in the standard 6BR Norma case for punching paper in my 13# rifle, and for them Varget has been better than 4350.

When I first started reloading. The very first screamer load I found in .243 was 35.1 of Accurate 4350 with a 90 grain Berger.
I moved to Br shortly there after using Accurate 4350. I think I couldn't get enough in case to go fast

The main thing is the BR doesn't allow enough powder to get the pressures requiered to burn efficient enough for accuracy with anything but the heavier For caliber bullets.

Most all smokeless powder burn best under pressure. Not many target shooters fairing very well using reduced loads.
