6GT bullets

I have a 26" 7.5 twist, is anyone using the Hornady 6mm 109gr ELD-M bullets? If so, can you share some load data and results? Thanks

I’m using them in 6 Creed with 41.9 grains of H4350. It’s a hot load. My CBTO is 2.245. It’s under half MOA at 100 yards. I have no issues hitting a 10 plate at 1,000.
Edit, in my 6GT I use Berger 105’s VLD’s with 34 grains of Varget.

I don't have a 6 Creedmoor but my cousin does and he and I split a box of the 109's I'll let him know your results. Thanks

I have a 26" 6GT but my barrel is a 6-groove (PVA Osprey) 7.5 twist. I'm not pushing hard as this was a new barrel. Below is some testing for Staball 6.5. with the 109 ELDM's
Not an ideal powder for it, but I have three 8 lbr's

I'll look for some of the Varget data as well.

In your graphic, the last 2 show a COAL difference of .001" but your jam value changes by .010".

2.264 vs 2.265
.010" Jam vs .020" Jam

Typo I'm sure! May have used copy and paste for formatting and it may have incremented?

Scratch that!! I just went back and looked ... should be 2.600, 2.640 and 2.650 OAL's. I'll edit the previous post and fix the attachments ... apologies!

Pres100, wow, a lot of great info thanks. I’ve got only a pound of StaBall but I’ll give it a try

I only tried one 109 ELDM load with varget - 34.0 (2915 fps) but it grouped horribly for some reason ....haven't done any real testing since then.

I did use varget for the 75 VMax which all shot fairly decent. 33.0 gr @3113 fps avg to 33.9 gr (3213 fps avg) in .3 gr increments and .010" jump.

What twist is your 6GT? Did are you saying you shot 75 Vmax in your GT?

Magneto speed.
The jump was 0.010". (COAL set to 2.340"). I used the "Wheeler Method" to find the lands - removed firing pin and ejector from the bolt to find the touch point.
