For the engineers and scientists on the forum, I'm teaching a 6DOF ballistics class this spring if you need some continuing education credit. The only prerequisite is a course in differential equations. The topics covered are:
Force-Moment System on projectiles
Linear Projectile Theory
Epicyclic Motion of spin stabilized projectiles
Stability Criteria
Yaw of repose and spin drift
Limit Cycle Motion of spin stabilized projectiles
Swerve motion of projectiles
6DOF ballistic simulations
If there is an interest, I can add a continuing education section to the class. Send me a message if you might be interested. I'm putting the syllabus in this post when I get it done.
Associated Term:Spring 2025
CRN:18103
Campus:Main (Pensacola)
Schedule Type: Class Lecture
