Well today i didnt watch things. The 1st relay 197 with 10x not to bad for me. Second relay i fell apart 193 with 9 i think it was my fault wind turned 90 degrees and pick up and i didnt read it. 3rd relay 200 with 14 i tryed to come back but here there is no coming back from a 193. All i all it work but i did'nt this was at 600. This coming sunday opfully ill do better well 197 and a 200 i don't think the 193 was me i know it was

Glad to know I'm not the only one who dooms his score with a bad string of fire... I shot a 197, a 191,ugh) and a 195 in our 600 yard match today. With my .308 Win. Was rather handily beat by a fellow with a 6mmBR...

I shot a pair of 198s and a 199 for 3rd place at Coalinga on Sat. Jim O'connel shot a 599-40X for 2nd! Match Winner was Jedidiah Hudson with a 600-36X.

Interesting isn't it? We had far more F-class shooters than conventional prone shooters today. Only three of us went with slings. Of those three, one fellow had a scoped 6mmBR, two of us used .308 match rifles with sights. I couldn't hold with either of those two guys... One guy shot two perfect 200's with his Palma rifle and got rained out for one of his strings of fire. The other fellow managed that 598-39x with his scoped 6mmBR, despite rain, fog and low 40 degree temps...

The discussion of scopes, barrels, cartridges etc is always interesting, but it seems that it's usually the shooter who makes the real difference. I simply wasn't picking up on the subtle wind shifts. Again.
