6BRX and 115 DTAC?

Hi im currently shooting the 115g DTAC in 6mmxc with a 7.5 twist schneider barrel.
Im building a benchrest rifle and im thinking of using a 7 twist 30" long 5C brouhton barrel in the 6brx shooting the 115g Dtac.
Does anybody see problems with this setup if so i will go with the norm 8 twist 107smk.
Many thanks

Mike

I know of at least 3 people, including myself, that had noticable pressure increases and pressure problems when a 1:7" twist was used in 6mm's. Some people think a little extra twist does not matter, but there's a limit to everything and I think 1:7" as a twist is right about at the limit of too fast a twist. I think 1:7.5" is about as fast as you should ever go with the 115's. A true 1:8" twist seems to be able to stabilize the 115's just fine. Some of the Broughton 1:8" twist barrels are a good bit less than 1:8", so I would not use their barrel in a 1:8" twist if you are going to use the 115's.

I contacted Tim at broughton barrels and he said that he had some 1:7.5 twist available soon.
So my question is this...what would shoot the best:
1:8 shooting 105-108?
1:7.5 shooting 115g?
Im even thinking about the 6.5x47 lapua to replace the 6 dasher but im not sure which is the best shooter out of the two, and with very little information available it makes the choice even harder.
Any opinions?

Best regards

Mike
