So today I had the chance to get to the range for a bit and test some loads.....
The best accuracy I have found so far is 29.7 grains of Varget under a 108gr. Hornady ELD-M bullet, and a CCI 450 primer. 4- 5 shot groups net an average of . 269". So now to the question.... I ran all 20 rounds(4- 5 shot groups) over the chronograph and averaged 2936fps for the 20 shot string. ES is 19fps. Didn't get the SD.... Im thinking this number appears to be high, especially being out of a 24" barrel.... So did I strike upon a magic load? Is it a chronograph issue( older pro labs model). You tell me.
