6BRA reamer

I have a couple on order from JGS, however I have a little problem. I have a customer that needs a barrel spun up and I was thinking of doing it in 6br and later when the bra gets it, setting it back to it. Thoughts?

If he's desperate to shoot. Though that's two stages of load development that needs done. Not like he's getting it set back to the same exact thing and has a baseline tuned load to tweak. Just my .02

I used to do set backs. I took out the throat on a brand new 22-250 ai reamer setting back a barrel. Dulled the throat part of the reamer and had to send it back and wait 8 weeks for a regrind at the cost of $165. Now I dont do set backs unless a barrel is like new inside. And if its reamer that has records on it, no set backs on that one no matter what.

What do you suppose caused the dulling?

I guess after I posted that, I started to wonder if fire cracking in fact made the steel harder there too.

Would 300 rounds or less effect the reamer?
