6bra questions and loads (n-140)

Can you post any pictures of your targets? Especially the upper node.
I’m very sorry but like a dummy, I did not get a picture of the target. Unfortunately my home range gets disrupted on occasion when a shotgun match is going. Target was set up before I realized match was going on, and I’m unable to go down to collect my target once match starts due to technically the back drop for the shotgun fields could possibly land in the 300 yard zone. I’m hoping to head back tomorrow to grab it. I had my spotter up and the shooter beside me started filming for me in his spotter till his phone died. Unfortunately a very disappointing ending to a rather good range day.

I can keep updates and be sure to document better. I normally document realy well and keep lots of photo’s as I’ve done with my firedorming loads

Very nice. Mine is an Impact with 26inch KP barrel, in a Manners TCS. Nice to see our velocities are close. My 30.9 load shot good at 1k, although I had one round 50fps slow drop out the bottom. Speed based on drop should be 2860ish now I believe.

There's a thread a few pages back with some n-140 info in it. I just did a little break in on a PRS rifle in 6BRA with N140. In Lapua brass already BRA formed in another rifle these were my approx speeds in a new 26 inch barrel and 105 Hybrids:

30.6 - 2820
30.8 - 2845
31.0 - 2855
31.2 - 2875
31.4 - 2910

No pressure signs, easy bolt lift. I'm going to load a hundred at 30.9 and see what the velocity looks like after those are all fired. If I needed to fireform, I'd probably load the 29.6-30.0 range for a lighter load.

I don't think you would go wrong with any of the 6BR brass. Alpha, Peterson or Lapua.
Slight update here. After the initial 100@30.9 I took that load to a match this August. (I don’t shoot this rifle a lot) Speeds were close to 2900 and it was just too hot. Blanked (@Bulletman ) primers (450s) were the result. Just a week earlier with 10degree cooler temps everything was fine. I didn’t take the time to work up a reduced N140 load and instead switched back to the Varget easy button for the time being since this rifle is low priority and volume. 30gr might be closer to the safe number for n140, at least in my rifle/barrel.
