6BRA Feeding Accurate Mags with PVA 6BR Kits?

Looking at getting a 6BRA barrel done for my rifle and Im just wondering if anyone has much luck running the Accurate Mags with the PVA 6br mag kits?

Ive been feeding 260 AI smoothly out of my Ultimatum u300 (3 lug action) with some tinkering to mag lips but just want to see anyone else is running the 6BRA in 3 lug actions sucessfully.

Cheers

I ran that exact combo all last year for PRS. One Accurate mag with the PVA kit and another identical set-up with the 2-round extension. I honestly can't remember having one feeding issue all year. MPA recently licensed to make the PVA kits, and here is the link.

How the f*** can you license something they never invented? The PVA kits are doo-doo, maybe the MPA ones are better.

Check out the HRC kit for AW mags. AW mags are designed for 3-lug actions. Might work good.

It will be hit or miss / trial & error with all of the mags+kits. Magazine latches, bedding & fed-lips might need to be tweaked on any of them.

LOL! Then I guess I got lucky. I know quite a few guys that are running the PVA kits in BR, BRA, and Dasher chambers. Seem to work great out here.

No experience with accurate mags, but AI AICS mags with the Primal Rights kit works great with 6BRA. So does the MDT 6BR mags.

ARC mags seem to work well with 6BRA without any mods, but haven't used them enough to confidently suggest them.

I had very good luck with the arc mags, but know a lot of people that could not get them to run at all including disasters when using them in matches. Same goes for AW magazines. I have seen several go airborne and end up downrange, never to be used again...

I have one MDT and it works for me.

My most reliable magazine is actually a Magpul that has been sanded down in certain areas.

Trial and error. It's all custom. What works in one setup, may fail miserably in another.

My ARC mags don't work for me in bigger cartridges - 6.5 Creedmoor, .308. But surprisingly the exact same mags seems to work alright in the same rifles with 6BRA. Go figure.

Thanks everyone for your replies. Im down in Australia and so far ive only been able to source the MPA 6br mag kits. We did have some MDT 6BR mags down here awhile ago but they have been sold out.

With the ARC mags, do they need any 6br kits to work or do they just work without and mods?

Thanks

In my cursory experience, no, no mag kits were required for the ARC mags when shooting 6BRA through a LP Fuzion (pushfeed) or Mausingfield (CRF) actions.

However I don't have much experience with this combo.

Arc mags worked for me without any spacer kits. However I didn’t really like the followers so I replaced them with different options. I used actual AICS AI springs and followers in two of mine and MKMachining followers in some others. I know there are other “upgraded” followers we can get over here but don’t know what’s easily obtainable for you. I initially bought 2 of the MDT BR mags and one worked great right out of the package, the other I had to fiddle with the lips a little to get it to work 100%. One thing I will caution you on is the ARC mags will not work in all DBM systems. I haven’t figured out the root cause and I’m sure it can be fixed but they don’t really fit in Hawkins DBM and West Texas Ordnance that I know of. Manners mini chassis, APA, Badger Ordnance, CDI, Grayboe have all been fine for me however.
