6BR vs. 6 Dasher ? Choices

I currently have a benchrest rifle being built. I purchased a reamer from PT&G in 6mmBR but now I'm second guessing myself as to change it to a 6mm Dasher !! It's purpose will be for competition in 600 and 1000 yards. Also, the local Groundhog shoots to 500 yds. It will be on a McMillan Tooley MBR stock, BAT action, 28" Krieger barrel. The main reason for choosing the 6BR originally was for lack of case prep required. I have made lots of PPC brass in the past. Just didn't want all the case prep required for the Dasher. But on the other hand don't want to compete with a starting disadvantage !! I was now wandering is it worth it to go to the 6 Dasher ??
Thankyou for all replies !!

Last year I was building a new 1000 yard gun and had a 6BR reamer on the shelf and called Dave Kiff and got a Dasher reamer throated for 105 g Berger Hybrid.

At 600 the 6BR is very hard to beat but the extra case capacity out of the Dasher helps at 1000.

6BR is fine for 1000 IMHO, BUT if conditions aren't good it is a challenge! I just got a reamer from PTG in 6X47 that is my prefered 6mm 1000 yard cartridge.

I was going through the same thing in 2010 and talked to a gunsmith and friend of mine (Mike Davis) and we talked about this very thing for a good while. I went with a 6BR and I am very glad I did. I'm confident the BR will compete at 1000 yd. and have proof it will at 600 yd. You can't go wrong with the 6BR.

i agree with Bus Driver love that 6br can't go wrong

I'll vote for the Dasher, inherently accurate like the BR but with more velocity.

I have Kiff's"World Record" reamer with a .2704" no-turn neck. Case-prep is easy; I fireform virgin Lapua right out of the box with bullets seated .030" into the lands from first touch. Pull the trigger and I'm done.

From there the brass is treated like any other for competition.

I love my BRX!

There are too many close choices with the 6mm. They all work in the right hands, JMO
